What is the MSCI Institute?
The Institute is MSCI’s research, education and convening organization. We connect viewpoints that rarely meet: the academics, think tanks, policymakers and NGOs working to understand the forces reshaping markets, and the investors and institutions moving capital through them. We publish original research and convene these audiences around the questions markets are facing.
Is the MSCI Institute independent from MSCI? How are they related?
The Institute is part of MSCI, which provides the data and expertise behind our research. Our research is editorially independent, noncommercial and published openly, allowing us to collaborate with a wider range of organizations across the capital-markets ecosystem.
Our research centers on the role of capital markets in tackling systemic challenges, with analysis based on data that spans practice, academic research and policymaking. MSCI’s research focuses on the application of MSCI’s data and analytical tools to challenges in global investing across asset classes.
