Tracking climate progress by listed companies

More than half (52%) of listed companies have published a climate target, based on preliminary data as of Jan. 31, 2024. Thirty-seven percent of them have set targets that aspire to reach net-zero; about one-fifth (19%) have targets that align with science-based pathways for aligning all financially relevant emissions with net-zero while limiting the rise in average global temperatures to 1.5°C.
